The 1st Annual Greater Toronto Volleyball Tournament at Bare Oaks was a fantastic success! As one long time member said, he’s never seen the place so busy in 17 years. All of our campsites were full. However, we could have accommodated a much larger number of players since most people came with tents and were happy to share sites.
Nine teams competed and the play was both fun for the players and entertaining for the spectators. Many families came and the children’s activities included water balloon games, arts and crafts, Fill the bucket races, bead necklace building, bocce Ball, sand castle building. There were campfires with guitar and singing on most nights, a live band played on Saturday. Sunday night saw karaoke on the front deck, an impromptu Texas Hold ’em tournament in the lounge, and several billiard and dart game competitions.
We were even featured on Friday’s Global TV News. You can see the clip by clicking here.
We owe a great deal of thanks to the members of London’s Forest City Family Naturists who donated a tremendous amount of time, energy and enthusiasm to the tournament.
We’ve already started planning for next year’s tournament which will be even bigger and better!
