When the weather is right, outdoor is always the best place to do Yoga at Bare Oaks. Normally when it is cold or rainy, we move indoors. But under the current circumstances, that is not allowed. So we’re announcing Yoga with Nikki Online!  If the weather is good, it will happen simultaneously with the live version which means that those who can’t visit the park will still be able to participate. The cost is $10 plus ticketing charges and taxes. Initially we are limiting it to 10 online people per session so that Nikki can interact with each person. Clothing-free yoga returns starting this Saturday June 6th and every Saturday from 11am – noon until September 26th. Both novices and veterans are welcome. Given the current regulations under Ontario’s emergency order, Yoga will only happen outside. There’s no minimum attendance so, if only one person shows up, it’s happening. $10 per person. Yoga mat rentals are available. Just bring yourself. You’re already wearing everything you need. https://www.BareOaks.ca/yoga/ Important notices: Non-members must also register in the office before participating. The yoga classes are provided by an independent individual. Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park only coordinates the arrangement and is not responsible for the service provided.Read More →

We now have a page listing what is currently open at Bare Oaks. We will keep updating it as government regulations and our own processes change. https://www.bareoaks.ca/covid-19/Read More →

The provincial government announced today new regulations that allow Bare Oaks members with a trailer to access it starting on Saturday May 16th. The announcement authorizes “access for trailers and recreational vehicles whose owners have a full season contract.” At this time, we still cannot accept any leisure visits for motel rooms, cabins, or short-term camping. We expect this to change in the very near future. If you make a reservation and we have to cancel it because of government restrictions, we will give you a full refund. If you cancel the reservation then our normal cancellation policy still applies. On Tuesday May 19th the province willRead More →

For many years, our internet service was so slow that if more than a dozen people were using it at the same time, it became difficult just to load a simple web page. Then for 2018 we finally managed to get decent high speed by way of a dedicated wireless connection. Suddenly it was possible for many people to watch streaming video at the same time! But as more and more people took advantage, it became obvious that the WiFi network was no longer up to the task. We upgraded a number of pieces of equipment but Beckett Circle was always slow on busy weekends.Read More →

On March 23rd the Ontario Government ordered all non-essential businesses to close for 14 days. That order was extended into May and could be extended again. The good news is that we have “flattened the curve” and things seem to be under control. The government has announced that they have a 3 stage plan to allow businesses to reopen. That is not to be confused with their 3 phase plan; the 3 stages are part of phase 2. Confused yet? Here it is if you want to read it all: https://files.ontario.ca/mof-framework-for-reopening-our-province-en-2020-04-27.pdf But all you need to know right now is that: There are NO dates ThereRead More →

The Government of Ontario has ordered all non essential businesses to close. So effective immediately, Bare Oaks is closed to visitors. The restaurant is already closed. The office and store will now be closed as well. During our posted business hours, we will still be answering phones, responding to emails, as well as accepting packages & deliveries. Members who have a campsite can still get through the gate to access their trailer. But as we said before, please do not come if you are sick, been exposed to someone who is sick, or have recently returned from foreign travel. This order is for 14 days.Read More →

We have had several people inquire about whether we going to close. We are open and planning on staying open. Our wide open spaces are great if you want to get away from people. For those who have a trailer here, it might be the ideal place to isolate yourself for a bit. We have taken precautions to reduce the risk of spreading the infection: We have always cleaned the public areas regularly. But we have added the additional step of disinfecting “touch” areas (door knobs, locks, counters, handrails, etc…) three times per day. Sick team members are always encouraged to stay home but weRead More →

‪If you’re coming to Bare Oaks this weekend, you’ll see that Kennedy Road is closed at Doane Road for construction. But that’s happening just past our driveway so you still need to access from the south end. Just ask the nice attendant to let you through. ‬Read More →

We have had a number of incidents last summer where people using their smartphones looked like they were taking pictures. The Bare Oaks policy on photography has always welcomed picture taking as long as everyone within range gave permission. This was easy to manage when photography was only done using specific picture-taking devices. But the ubiquity of phones with built-in cameras and the fact that people are always using them has led to a great deal of consternation. To solve this problem, members and visitors are now required to have a Bare Oaks camera sticker on the lens if they will be using their smartphoneRead More →
