The Saturday Toronto Star has a great article titled “Bare facts about the Caribbean” by Bruce Bishop. If some of you subscribe to the British H&E Naturist Magazine, you may recall that Bruce Bishop also did a great article about Bare Oaks in the October issue of the magazine. This latest article provides from useful and frank advice about taking a nude vacation in the Caribbean. I’ve been a fan of Stephen’s work for several years now. (Noodtoonist is his term) His naturist comic novels are the best ones I’ve seen. I own his only printed book, The Koala Bares. I love it because his characters have realistic body types and represent all kinds of people. He does a great job of illustrating real naturism and naturist values. Experienced naturists will recognized many familiar situations in his stories and laugh at the incredulity of textile-naturist conflict. I’ve added the current strip to the Bare Oaks news page. It will update automatically each time that Stephen publishes a new one. http://www.bareoaks.ca/Bare-Oaks/News.html OrRead More →

Unfortunately, the cold weather is coming fast which means that we need to shut down the seasonal water supply. (that’s everyone in Beckett Circle (including the washrooms) and a few connections in Helios Circle) The shutdown is scheduled for Monday October 29th. If you have a trailer at Bare Oaks, we strongly recommend that you get it winterized. Failure to do so could result in damages that would be expensive to repair. If you would like a recommendation on who can provide you with this service, please contact the office. Of course, Bare Oaks is open all year and you are most welcome to continueRead More →

Trailers for sale are now listed on the Bare Oaks website. http://www.bareoaks.ca/Bare-Oaks/Trailer_Sales.html We list both used trailers for sale in the park (only one right now) and new trailers. As far as new trailers are concerned, we’re offering the Timber Ridge Series Trailers by Woodland Park Inc. Bare Oaks is not the dealer. We’re too small to be a trailer dealer. The dealer is Cedar Beach Trailer Sales over at Musselman’s Lake in Stouffville. In selecting a line of trailers to recommend to our members, we wanted to make sure it was the best quality. When we asked Cedar Beach why they were selling WoodlandRead More →
